Sagebrush Safari

Mud, mud, and more mud.

Did I mention it was muddy? Well, it was. It was also freezing cold, due to the 4-feet deep stream crossings. The course was originally an 18-mile loop, but because the snow and rain had made it too dangerous to ride they cut it to a short 5-mile loop in the valley. Half the course was SUPER fast and the other half was unbearably SLOW. There was no point on the course where you could take a bit of a breather. Basically, it was extreme beast mode for one hour and eighteen minutes. I was, yet again, the only girl in my category. They raced me with all the other cat 1 women though and I got 2nd place overall :)
